I have worked with all kinds of models both experienced and beginners. If you are a model with some experience and you are looking for new images for your portfolio I’m happy to discuss how we can work together .My contact details are on this website or you can just click on the Contact Us tab on the left of this screen and complete the Contact Form.
This section is aimed more at the new model just starting out in modelling and needing a helping hand. Working with Pro Images is an excellent way to get started. Hopefully this section of my website will answer any questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.
Getting started
The new model needs to start by doing a few important things. First of all you need to have an accurate record of your statistics .If you aren’t sure which statistics you need then check out the Contact Us Form on this website .This will tell you the information you need to know about yourself.
When you have done that you need to decide which levels of modelling you want to work to.
My advice is to carefully consider the different levels of modelling and decide which of these you are comfortable with. You should discuss this with Pro Images if you decide you want to do a photoshoot so that we all know what your limits are.
If you are serious about modelling you will need a portfolio-a set of different images that show what you can do (and what you like to do). It’s a showcase designed to show you off to prospective photographers.
The good news is that Pro Images can help you with your portfolio to start you off in modelling. A Portfolio Photoshoot can be arranged with us .This would give you the images you need to get you started. You can add new images to your portfolio at a future date. After a Pro Images photoshoot you would receive all the images on a CD and you would be able to use any of the images to promote yourself as a model.
Once you have your portfolio you are nearly ready to promote yourself .The next thing you need to do is to choose a name you will use for your modelling rather than using your own name. Then you need to obtain an email address if you don’t have one ( hotmail or yahoo for example ).If you already have an email address it’s a good idea to think about a new email address just for your modelling.
The next thing to do is think about your clothing. There is no need to dash out and spend a lot of money on new clothes! Check your wardrobe and consider which of your clothes would be suitable for a photoshoot. The key is to match clothing. You only need a few simple outfits to get you started and you can always borrow things from your friends!
It’s a good idea to think about the photographs you want .Have a look through suitable magazines you may have -for ideas for posing. Choose the poses you like, Practise them in front of the mirror and bring the photographs to the studio with you. If necessary borrow magazines from friends.
Your Pro Images Photoshoot
Once you have decided that you want to do a photoshoot with Pro Images you will need to contact us using the Contact Form on this website. Once you have done this I will be in touch with you to talk through your photoshoot. There is absolutely no obligation at any time-if you decide not to proceed that’s fine. If you are happy we can arrange a day and time for your photoshoot at the studio. I’m currently using a studio in Ashton under Lyne near Manchester. I can put you in touch with models who have worked with me at the studio so that you can talk with them about the photoshoot or any aspect of modelling.
Photoshoots are usually of 2 hours duration .If you have not done a photoshoot before you will be surprised how quickly the time goes! Please do bring a friend with you to the photoshoot-she can help you get ready, check make-up and help you with your clothes etc.
The studio itself is a professional one in commercial premises. It’s comfortable with a private changing area and tea and coffee are available. There is also water available as it tends to get a bit hot under the lights -or you could bring your own if you wish.
Your make –up should be what you normally wear but a good foundation is important to avoid flare from the studio lights. You will need to bring foundation with you to apply if necessary during the shoot. It’s a good idea to highlight eyes and lips with more make-up than you would normally use. Avoid fake tanning creams if you can.
Once you have chosen your first outfit we can get started. I have a lot of experience of working with new models starting out and I know that you might be a bit nervous. Don’t worry! Together we will make sure that you get a portfolio of quality images which you can use to promote yourself. I’m happy to direct models with posing and I’m happy for models to pose themselves (photoshoots are usually a combination of both ).A typical shoot will involve several changes of clothes to give you a variety of different images.
Before you know it we will have finished and you will wonder where the time went! All that we need to do then is prepare to leave the studio.
Within 14 days you will receive all the images from the photoshoot on CD. These images are yours to use to promote yourself.
The quickest and easiest way to do this is by using the internet. The images you receive on CD will be large file size images (perfect for producing high quality prints) but too large to use on the internet. At this stage if you are keen to take things further I’m happy to prepare another CD containing some of your images for use on the internet. We can also discuss promotion at this stage and the best ways for you to do this. It’s not difficult but you do need to spend some time on this.I’m happy to help you with this-all I ask is that you are serious about doing it!
If you want to get things started then please complete the Contact Us form on this website and click SEND when you have finished it ...it’s as simple as that!
